IMPORTANT NOTES AFTER MAKING YOUR PURCHASE OF TRAVEL PACKAGES OR TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU PURCHASE YOUR TRAVEL INSURANCE AND READ THE INCLUSIONS AND EXCEPTIONS POLICY CAREFULLY. Travel insurance is not the same as trip cancellation/interruption insurance.

On airlines and airports

DOCUMENTS. Always when leaving home or the hotel, verify that you have all your documents required for the trip with you. Passport, visas, migration forms, etc. Without passports or visas required, you will not be able to travel. (The airline or travel agency is not responsible for this type of inconvenience, so you will probably incur financial losses.)

SCHEDULES.It is very important that you are at the airport 3 hours before the departure time of each flight. (If you have questions or discrepancies in information between you and your guide, please confirm your reservation with the airline directly.)

SEAT ASSIGNMENT. Airlines are already selling the best seats (charging between USD45 and USD100 for preferred seats (even more depending on the route), up front, or in emergency exits. Seats cannot always be pre-assigned and we cannot always seat everyone. people traveling together, so the ideal is to arrive at the airport with enough time to allow travelers to sit together. If you have specific requirements for your seats you will have to purchase the place where you should sit.

LUGGAGE. Keep in mind that airlines charge for boarding your bags. In the vast majority of cases, the suitcase cannot weigh more than 50 pounds. Airlines will charge you even for the first bag. In case you want to buy your ticket with suitcase included, please let us know, so we can inform you of this additional cost.

WARNING Do not place valuables in the suitcase that will be boarded in the belly of the plane. It is not common, but some suitcases can be unloaded.

TAXES. In some countries it is necessary to pay departure taxes (some are included in air tickets) but there are some countries that charge for entry or exit. And it is necessary to pay this amount at the airport itself.

SECURITY CHECKS. Due to security measures, you will almost never be allowed through security with liquids and large quantities of medicines.

TRAVEL INSURANCE. We ALWAYS recommend purchasing travel insurance to assist you in cases of unforeseen medical or legal events, delayed or canceled flights.

DISTRACTIONS. Today’s airports have many distractions: shops, bars, restaurants. In case you are not familiar with the airport, and also to be able to better control any unforeseen events, we suggest you first do all the immigration procedures and AFTER locating your exit door, if required, go to these other places, such as bathrooms, restaurants, shops. At the airport, while busy, you can lose your sense of time, and without realizing it you could be late to your departure gate, or miss a change of departure gate notice. If you are going to meet someone at the airport, or are traveling with a group, we suggest that the meeting point be the same exit door of the plane and stay close to it until your flight takes off. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO BE PRESENT AT THE DEPARTURE GATE, ONE HOUR BEFORE THE FLIGHT DEPARTURE TIME.
